Durango Dentistry

Durango Dentistry is a Durango-based family dental practice that treats patients of all ages, established in 1999 when Dr. Greg Mann took over the practice; then Dr. Steven Reed joined the practice in 2019. We are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care and do so using advanced dental equipment. We are a cosmetic dentist that offers services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers, and more.

We also perform emergency dentist services that include bonding, root canals, crowns, and bridges. As local dentists, we create lifelong relationships with our patients and their families and work to ensure that they receive treatments in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Dr. Greg Mann

Dr. Greg Mann is not only a skilled dentist but is also a member of the Crown Council, a prestigious dental group of leading dentists from around the world. Dr. Mann, who represents LaPlata in addition to the entire Four Corners region, is a dentist who is strongly committed to excellence in his field, continuing education, promoting oral health, fighting oral cancer, giving back, and focusing on treating patients, not just their teeth. Dr. Steven Reed

Dr. Reed is a fifth-generation Colorado native, completing both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees in the state. He loves to hike, camp, fish, hunt, and generally spend time out of doors with his wife and two daughters. This love for the outdoors brought Dr. Reed and his family to the Western Slope. Dr. Reed is passionate about serving his community and has been involved in many volunteer organizations including: Dental Lifeline Network, and Colorado Mission of Mercy, and has served on international mission trips to Fiji and Guatemala. Dr. Reed is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Western Colorado Dental Society, and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society upon graduation from dental school. He currently sits on the Executive Board of the Colorado Mission of Mercy, an organization focused on providing free dental care to Coloradoans.

Dr. Reed believes in treating patients with the utmost respect and care. He is dedicated to providing the best possible dentistry in an environment of comfort, trust, and education. Together with his patients, he works towards treatment outcomes to meet both their personal and medical needs.

Kelly

Dental Hygienist

“I enjoy working with Dr. Mann and Dr. Steven Reed. They provide thorough exams and quality treatments for my patients. I like to make my patients feel like family from their first visit to future appointments. Our dental team is very cohesive and we strive to do our best and address any concerns our patients may have.”

Kelly is a full-time hygienist who started working for our office in April 2016. She received her Dental Hygiene degree at San Juan College in Farmington NM, where she graduated with honors as a Merrion Master Scholar. She also received Honors Service Learning by donating her time to her community by providing dental cleanings for the elderly, teaching dental education to elementary students, and providing free dental cleanings to the public at several Mission of Mercy events in New Mexico. She enjoys interacting with patients, providing information on new dental research, and most of all she enjoys improving the overall health of her patients. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her daughter. The two of them enjoy rock climbing, hiking, traveling, movies, music, art, and family time.

Joining the Durango Dentistry team has been the best! They are so caring about their patients and truly strive for lasting relationships. This team is so welcoming, I am truly happy to be here. I hope to fulfill patients’ needs as well as reach out to others, habló español!

I live in Bloomfield, NM and graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at San Juan College in 2022. I enjoy camping and exploring in Colorado during the summer with my husband, family and friends.

Dental Hygienist

Jessica was born in Flagstaff, AZ and has lived in several states across the country. She has called Farmington, NM home for the past 7 years and loves the beauty of the southwest. She received an Associates of Applied Science degree from San Juan College Dental Hygiene program and graduated with Honors as a Merrion Master Scholar in May of 2021 then joined the Durango Dentistry team in August of 2021. She enjoys meeting new patients and helping them feel comfortable as well as educating them on how to improve their oral hygiene and answering any questions they may have. In her free time, she is a book worm, loves baking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and 3 children. She feels blessed to work with such caring doctors and a team that feels like family.

Working for Durango Dentistry is amazing, Dr. Mann & Dr. Reed are the best! I graduated with honors as a Merrion Master Scholar from San Juan College with an Associates in Dental Hygiene in 2025, where I also received the Colgate Star Award. I am passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles while ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for in the dental chair.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy staying active and embracing new challenges/pushing myself! I have a firefighter spouse and Labrador puppy who are my best friends. You can always find me at the gym, hiking mountain trails, fishing, spending time in nature, and traveling!

Dental Hygienist

Hi, I’m Caitlyn! I’m a dental hygienist passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and help my patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. I earned by Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from San Juan College in 2025 and continued my education at the University of New Mexico, where I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2026.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the Durango Dentistry team and to work alongside Dr. Mann and Dr. Reed. I love being part of a practice that values patient care, teamwork, and creating a welcoming experience for every person who walks through the door. It is truly rewarding to work with such an amazing team and help patients achieve and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my two mini dachshunds, Winnie and Pepper, and making memories with my family and friends.

Dental Assistant

Michelle is one of our very talented and knowledgeable dental assistants. She is professional, courteous, and always a pleasure to be around. Her infectious smile and happy personality are sure to make your visit a pleasant experience. She has been with the practice since 2003 and truly loves her work. Michelle goes out of her way to make patients comfortable, informed and at ease during their visit. “Dr. Mann is a fantastic dentist and I would always recommend the practice. I am so happy about Dr. Steven Reed joining the team and the opportunity for growth in the office.” In her free time, Michelle loves hiking, and spending time with her two beautiful daughters and fantastic husband. She will also take any opportunity to curl up with a good book.

Caitlin was born and raised here in beautiful Durango, Colorado. She graduated from Fort Lewis College with a degree in business administration and then worked four years dental assisting in the pediatric dental field. She has always enjoyed working with people and making them feel welcome and creating a pleasant experience. She is excited to join the Durango Dentistry team and continue in the field of dental assisting. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending her time climbing 14ers with her dad, spending time with her family, friends, and dog, and adventuring out in nature.

Marlene

Hi, I’m Marlene. I’ve lived in the area for the past 10 years and am happily married for 21 years. Together, my husband and I have built a beautiful, growing family with four children and two grandchildren. Being a mom (and grandma!) is one of my greatest joys, and I cherish every moment spent with my family.

I’ve worked as a Dental Assistant for over 10 years and truly love what I do—especially connecting with people and building relationships. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me cooking, enjoying long walks, snowboarding, or soaking up the outdoors. I’m all about good vibes, good food, and meaningful connections.

Hi! My name is Zoë, and I am a dedicated dental assistant with a true passion for helping others and creating positive experiences for every patient who walks through our doors. I genuinely love what I do—being able to support patients, ease any anxieties, and help them feel confident in their smiles is incredibly rewarding to me. Dentistry is more than just a job; it’s something I take pride in and continue to grow in every day.

I feel so fortunate to work alongside Dr. Mann and Dr. Reed. They have not only helped me grow professionally, but they’ve also created such a welcoming and supportive environment. Our office truly feels like a second family, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Being part of a team that genuinely cares about each other and our patients makes coming to work something I look forward to.

Outside of the office, I love spending time in the outdoors—whether that’s fishing, hiking, golfing or just enjoying nature. I also have a huge love for animals and cherish the time I get to spend with them. Most importantly, I value time with my family and making meaningful memories whenever I can.

I am so grateful to be doing something I love every day, surrounded by an amazing team and wonderful patients.

Office Manager

Hello, my name is Carrie! I joined the Durango Dentistry team in January 2018, becoming the Office Manager in January 2021. I started my Dental Administration career in 2014, when I managed two dental offices in Seattle before I moved to Durango to be closer to family.

It has been a pleasure working with Dr. Mann & Dr. Reed and the TEAM here at Durango Dentistry over the years. We are indeed a fantastic and caring team; we work well together and strive to put our patients first. I strive to help each patient understand the dental treatment recommended for them, breakdown cost and explain how their dental insurance works. I’m very detail-oriented, knowledgeable and if I don’t know the answer, I’ll find it out for you. I’m here to help!

When I’m not at the office, I enjoy spending time with family, friends and our two mini dachshunds, Walle & Eva. I love reading, camping and decorating for the holidays. If you join us around a holiday, most of the décor is mine from my days at Crate & Barrel and Pier 1 Imports. I look forward to greeting you when you arrive at Durango Dentistry. 😊

Hi! My name is Essence!

I was born and raised here in Durango and started my career here with Dentistry in June of 2020. I absolutely adore each one of our Team members and all of our patients. My goal every day is to make each patient feel welcome! I have enjoyed learning and growing every day. Dr. Mann and Dr. Reed truly go above and beyond for their employees and their patients and its a blessing to be a part of such an awesome team! When I am not answering phones or insurance questions I love to be outside, spending time with my hubby and my nieces and nephews or volunteering at my church.

Volunteer Work & Donations

Brighter Smiles Creating a Brighter Community

At Durango Dentistry community activism is one of our founding principles. Not only do we donate money, but we love to volunteer our time as well. We identify local non-profit organizations that we would like to partner with. Our patients donate $250.00 through our Smiles for Durango Program in the office. We gift you with custom-made whitening trays and bleach to take home. 100% of the proceeds get donated to those local charities, the chance to help make a difference in our community is PRICELESS. With your help, we are able to support local non-profit organizations by brightening one smile at a time!
